2-Day Sahara Desert Tour from Fes to Merzouga & Back to Fes

Your adventure begins with an 8:00 AM pickup from your accommodation in Fes. Travel through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping first in Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its European-style architecture. Continue to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

After a lunch break in Midelt, drive through the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and panoramic viewpoints. Pass through Erfoud, renowned for its fossil workshops, before arriving in Merzouga.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching the sunset. Arrive at your desert camp, where you'll be welcomed with traditional Moroccan hospitality. Enjoy dinner, Amazigh music around the campfire, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel or vehicle.

Begin the journey back to Fes, stopping in Rissani, a historic market town known for its traditional souk and rich cultural heritage. Continue through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains, with time to enjoy the scenery and stop for lunch in Midelt or Zaida.

Pass once more through the cedar forests and the charming town of Ifrane before arriving back in Fes in the late afternoon, bringing your unforgettable Sahara adventure to an end.
